Climate change isn't a threat; it is a reality. There are severe warnings that the world is likely to warm by more than 1.5 degrees Celsius over the next five years, leading to the migration of investors and entrepreneurs to areas where the risk of investing in climate change is the lowest. In this regard, "Henley and Partners" has published the first edition of the Investment Migration Climate Resilience Index, which aims to enlighten global citizens and investors about climate-resilient places.

The index evaluates critical criteria, including vulnerability, readiness to boost climate investment, and countries' financial capabilities (GDP) to adapt, and contains data from 180 countries. The index also classifies countries into three groups based on their resilience:

strong resilience (scores of 60 to 100)

moderate resilience (scores of 45 to 59.9)

low resilience (score below 45)

According to the Climate Resilience Index, Countries and investors in the low resilience group are more vulnerable to severe weather catastrophes such as forest fires, storms, heat waves, floods, droughts, and hurricanes.

Iran is placed 72nd on this rating and among the countries with low resilience, with a score of 36.  Furthermore, according to the rating of this index, only 15 countries are included in the category of countries with high resilience. The moderate resilience group consists of 23 countries, while the low resilience category contains 142 countries.
